PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Chlorine Dioxide (CAS# 10049-04-4), with the molecular formula ClO₂ and a molecular weight of 67.45. Under normal temperature and pressure, it appears as a yellowish-green to orange-yellow gas with a pungent odor. In liquid form, it is a reddish-brown liquid, and in solid form, it is an orange-red crystal. Because pure gas concentration exceeding 10% is prone to explosion, it is mostly applied in the form of stable chlorine dioxide solution or on-site preparation.

Chlorine dioxide is a highly effective, broad-spectrum, and safe oxidizing disinfectant, classified as an A1-level disinfectant by the World Health Organization (WHO). In water treatment, it is widely used for sterilization and disinfection of drinking water, swimming pool water, and industrial recirculating cooling water, effectively killing bacteria, viruses, and spores while producing almost no harmful byproducts such as trihalomethanes. In the food industry, it is used for fruit and vegetable preservation, as well as for cleaning and disinfecting processing equipment and packaging materials. In medical and public health fields, it can be used for air purification and surface sterilization. Additionally, it is used as a bleaching agent in the pulp and textile industries, offering advantages of high brightness and low degradation.
